Thanks spock, for dragging out a two-and-a-half-year-old thread to offer your views on Hutto, Taylor, etc...especially helpful that you posted in three different conversations. Need directions out of town???

The IQ total in this thread must be below 15.

There is racism EVERYWHERE. Those who think its unique in one area are stupid.

You will find racism in Texas, California, NYC, Boston, etc.

If you'd like to meet, I am there, 'neck.

The reason for the post is recent experience.

Again, want to meet me?

is it possible that they were calling the police on YOU instead of your black wife?

did you want him to meet you for beer?

No, what I am trying to point out is that you are subject to over-scrutiny if you are a minority or associated with same publicly. My wife said she felt uncomfortable the moment we set foot there, but it took awhile for me to see it. We are both Dallas natives and I have lived previously in Austin and attented the University of Texas. We heard the same sentiments echoed from a fair number of minority neighbors in the area
when my wife went for a neighborhood walk. The neighbors were pretty unfriendly compared to the Dallas area - a pretty sad commentary on Hutto.

I do not mind meeting a 'neck, good ole boy for something other than a beer...they do not scare me in the least. I'm a big boy

What's with all the threats? You keep asking if someone wants to meet you. It sounds more like intimidation or a threat. It seems to me you're lookin for a fight.

I know, I think that too from the tone of it. I can probably match him mixed race couples and just black people I know all over Hutto who have a totally different opinion. I think he may have been looking for trouble as well seeing how he's getting all bowed up. (disclaimer): I get bowed up myself sometimes but for different reasons.

So what you're implying is that all the minorities admitted to the law school had lower test scores than their white counter parts? Show me some proof...

Furthermore, if your discrimination story is referring to affirmative action, it helps ALL minorities or under-represented people...not just "non-whites".
This was happening at the University of Michigan as well. Not particularly the law school, but in undergrad admissions.

That may be true however, some places are worst than others and I think that people need to know what to watch out for when visiting or moving to these areas
