Don't rule out Leander when doing a home search. We're less than 5 minutes from the house you like, so you may miss a great deal on a home because people think Leander is "too far."

Also, the commuter rail starts up soon and will run from northeast Leander.

Going by the things on your list though, I think you'd really like living near Elizabeth Milbourn Park in Cedar Park.

I love Elizabeth Milburn Park and that whole area! But I'm not sure there's anything in that area in their price range. At least, nothing popped up on the MLS when I ran a search.

That's too bad, THL, because she could walk to everything on her list, including the gymnastics

Yeah, I know. I'm going to have to dig a little deeper and see if there's anything more affordable around there - it's a great area and I love to introduce people to it.

I like the Leander idea too. How does the Milburn pool and playscape compare with the Veterans Memorial or Rock'N River Family Aquatic Center?

We're a very pool-oriented family!

Isn't Anderson Mill West just south of Elizabeth Milburn Park? That's gotta have stuff under $150K, unless things have just skyrocketed recently. Not 10 years old, more like 20, but still...

Of the 17 houses in Anderson Mill West currently on the market, only one is under $150,000. The rest are from $155,000-$299,000. Ages range from the 1980's to 2004.
