What to pack (February trip) (Howe: average, winter, single)

So, for those of you actually there ... what should I pack for a February trip? Do we need coats and sweaters? or shorts and sandals? Or both?

Both. We currently have some real nice days coming up. but I would not rule out any more cold fronts coming in. So far this winter we have seen it go from 85 one day to a high of only 32 the next.

If you are coming from the north you will find it positively balmy down here. A spring jacket with a sweater or fleece if it gets cold will do you well.

I would strongly advise checking the weather during the week leading up to your trip. February is our month of extremes. On an average day, lows in the high 30's, highs 68-70. However, we've been known to have anything from single digits or 90's during the last 2 weeks of the month. It's been mostly moderate here, but we have had some cold fronts followed by a warming trend, so it really could vary!
