Default Rosemary plants for sale (large) ?

Hi folks,

I'm looking for a place to get some large rosemary plants, but the nurseries I check seem to only have very young plants.

Any notion of who might carry larger versions?

How much time do you have? When we bought our home near FW in 2005, we had a rosemary plant that was about 12 inches tall and maybe 20" wide at the bottom. Today it's nearly five feet tall and 20 feet wide. I don't know why, but it really took off in sandy loam. I also bought some 4" pots of rosemary from Home Depot two summers ago to plant in another garden area. They also grew like weeds. So, if you have a couple of seasons to wait, you should have huge plants. Just a thought.

Not in Austin... but when my husband and I went to Wildseed Farms in Fredericksburg last spring, they had herb plants in a few different sizes. Not sure if they have them all of them time - maybe you could call to check with them if you are in the mood for a quick road trip?

You might check with It's About Thyme in Manchaca. They used to carry large rosemary plants.

The Big Red Sun on E. Cesar Chavez usually has at least a couple of large sized rosemary plants. I picked one up there a couple of months ago for around $20.
