Default Severe Weather Tonight?

I hate severe storm season. Anything to worry about tonight in the Austin area? I have a weather radio. Looks like the worst is north of us.

And since I've been here a while now....who is your favorite weather forecaster who doesn't scare the pants off of you? Some of them terrify me and act like they look foward to the bad weather. I like Maureen McCann on Channel 8 a lot. Level-headed but very informative. How about you?

Thx!
Kim

Oh I love Jim Spencer! Mark Murry is great too. But I love what a weather geek Jim Spencer is.

We too love Jim Spencer! Hes just so enthusiastic and informative. Its been too long since we have seen him doing an all day marathon during times of torrential flooding and tornado warnings.

Jim Spencer's enthusiasm scares me a little. I kow he loves it, but it makes me nervous!! Mark Murray is pretty good most of the time at saying he doesn't think something is a concern in our area so I appreciate that. I like Shawn Rutherford and Burton Fitzsimmons as well. Calm and not hyper.

With this drought, I will take any type of weather that brings rain, short of a terrible hailstorm!

I actually freak out if there is terrible weather and Jim Spencer or Mark Murry aren't there to see us through it! Otherwise, bring on the storms!!

What exactly is forecast for here tonight? I thought it was hail. Is there a tornado watch?

mm57553 has a spectacular aura aboutmm57553 has a spectacular aura aboutmm57553 has a spectacular aura about
As of last night's forecast, it looked as though it would all stay north of us. So, as far as severe weather tonight, I'll believe it when I see it.

And the weather forecasters all kind of get on my nerves. I guess it just drives me nuts that they report the weather 2 minutes into the newscast and spend 10 minutes on it. Um, I'm pretty sure more when on in the world today than your 2 minutes covered. And I understand if the weather is severe or something and itself is newsworthy, but when you spend 10 minutes basically telling me that tomorrow is going to be just like the last 12 days, then does it really deserve that much time?
