Georgetown, Hutto, Taylor, Round Rock, Cedar Park...all Williamson County. I think there are more towns than that actually, but it's a start.

Carolinajack, I lived in Circle C (Southwest Austin) and there are plenty of people like yourself living there. I would say my experience in surburban Austin is that most people are live and let live. I had church goers and non church goers on my street. Democrats and Republicans and everything in between. We all got along fine. I don't think you would be out of place in most of suburban Austin. Personal opinion but you should visit many areas of town to see what you like in terms of scenery. Even though Austin is "liberal" for Texas, it is not liberal like Boulder, CO or Berkeley, CA are liberal. I lived in the Boulder area for years and Austin is tame compared to it.

Conservative Austin?

I think that would be Williamson Couny; Round Rock and Georgetown.
The City of Austin is not conservative by any measure, neither is Travis County. Also Hays County would be considered conservative, aka rednecks of Central Texas.

Just to add, while Georgetown is a good place to raise a family and is a more conservative area, it does come with less racial diversity.
These are the stats from City-Data:
* White Non-Hispanic (76.8%)
* Hispanic (18.1%)
* Other race (8.3%)
* Black (3.4%)
* Two or more races (1.8%)
* American Indian (0.7%)

that is even more awesome as we are an interracial/multiracial family with an asian daughter and it will be good to have values and diversity
