Default Austin apartments

Hello!

I am moving to Austin in 1 month for school, I am starting at the Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine located on Manchaca. I am new to the area and am looking for a quiet apartment complex. I don't mind a little noise but late not parties every night is not what i am looking to be near. I would like a place in a nice neighborhood, close to the school and downtown...maybe in the middle. I have seen a few good apartments near the river(known as Town Lake to locals). I really don't want to have to worry about car break ins, excessive noise, but would like to be in the middle of the action that Austin offers. I enjoy fly fishing, hiking, biking, boating and nightlife. I would just like to know about the surrounding neighborhoods and what they have to offer. price range of $500 - $850 month

Thanks!

Also:

Preferences in apartments:
- 1 or 2 BDR
- assigned parking / carport
- Pool
- View (not totally necessary)
- Quiet
- updated
