Hi, my sister and her man just moved here and have been having a little trouble finding work so her husband was wondering about day labor in the area? Does anyone know if there are any construction day labor in the area? Or does he have to go to the corner and wait for someone to pick him for work over some other person needing work. And what about any other type of staffing agencies for my sister? She works in medical but not certified here in TX, and waitressing.
Thanks!!!

Ok he sat there all day yesterday with no one even coming in for workers....what else is there out here? Is there a staffing place for servers or cooks or anything like that? Where would be the best place to look for work in Austin?? Thanks!!

Try Hospitality Staffing. It's right off of sixth street. They tend to staff hotels for banquets, etc. Restaurant jobs here are a bit competitive because of the number of college students who wait tables for extra money.

You could try Evins Personnel on Anderson Ln (just east of Burnet) They seem to specialize in the types of jobs your husband is seeking. Good luck
