I may get backlash over this, but I was watching the travel channel a few months back and they had a show on re: underground worlds in different cities.

One of the cities that was mentioned was Austin and it's underground vampire world. They weren't referring to the Mexican free tailed bats that live under South Congress Ave. Bridge either. Is there any truth to this?

I've seen and heard that before, but every city has its underground scene.

I hadn't heard that one. Where did they say in Austin that it is?

I can't remember exactly, but it was prevalent downtown...they were showing scenes of 6th Street. I was just curious about this, since I'm moving there within the near future. I have no interest in it--just curiosity!

Underground Atlanta would love to have some tourists from whom to suck money. Been a money pit since the 70s...no bats or vampires that I'm aware of, though.
