We're looking for somewhere to take our 5 year old for his bday. We've done Chuck E. Cheese, Gattiland and Austin Park and Pizza. We're not throwing him a party, we just wanna do something different. He enjoys cooking, math, and how things work.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Radijazz closed down several months ago. How about a Round Rock Express game? I've heard they do a lot of things for kids there. We can't wait until our twins are old enough to go. We miss going to baseball games!

We just took the twins to the Austin Zoo for their birthday. It was great and you can do it in a few hours, pack a lunch, rgide the train, then head home for cake.

I like CATXTransplant's idea. My daughter just turned 6, but we've been taking her to express games since she was 3. She loves it! Bring a blanket and sit in the berm and then if he wants, he can play at some of the games they have up there and you can still see the game from the play area.

Wow, I can't believe that. We were just there in November!

Okay, Express game, that's always fun. On Fridays the do the fireworks. Bounce house w/ friends is always fun too.

If the zoo sounds like fun, do something different you'll all enjoy. The Johnson City zoo is about an hour away and can be a fun day excursion worth the drive!

Hopefully it won't be too hot and dry in September. Spring is the best time to get out there, especially with everything blooming now. The drive and scenery with the little rain we've had lately makes it spectacular.
