Recycled wood?
Anybody know a place in town where I could get some salvaged 2X6 boards or similar? We just got a plot in a community garden and I need to build some forms. I would rather not spend a bunch of $$$ at Home Deephole. It has to be untreated, as it's an organic garden.
Thanks!

Try A&R Demolition on FM 812 in Southeast Travis County. Get there, travel 183 south past the airport, take a left on 812 at the Texaco, travel about 4-5 miles down on the right. If you're taking SH130 just take the 812 exit make a left and travel about 1-2 miles down on the left. They have lots of used materials for sale.

Correction, once you get on 812, A&R would be on the right not the left.

Thank you both!
The demolition place doesn't state on their site whether or not they are open to the public without specific projects in mind. Who knows? I might just go there and poke around anyway.
The Habitat restore is here:
Austin Habitat for Humanity ReStore, located in Austin, Texas

you might find some construction site with long enough discards to get your job done -- it isn't unusual to find some good lengths in a "dumpster dive" especially during framing -- once in the rolloff it's trash to them -- do ask the foreman for permission
