I have to chime in here - I've had TW internet as well as cable and phone for several years. I have had nothing but good experiences when dealing with them. On a couple of occasions, I had them go out of their way to fix problems (one of the techs even gave me his cell #). You have a choice of internet providers, but let's face it, you have to have either a land line for dial-up, a DSL connection, or a broadband cable connection, so you're are pretty much limited to AT&T or TW unless Grande services your area. Good luck!

I don't know much about it but I thought AT&T Uverse was another option.

That's what I have: AT&T Uverse. Again, truly terrible customer service (i.e. forget about the 4 hour time window. Not gonna happen. More like a 8 hour window... and I'm not exagerating. The guy showed up after 9pm! And good luck getting them on the phone). But the DVR on TW is just awful and I can't use DirecTV so I don't have much of a choice. I agree that TW has better internet. I pay $55/month for the 10mg (or whatever it's called) and it's pretty crappy (worse than TW). And, of course, I can't get them on the phone to cancel it. Also, I was not given any kind of contract.

Living in SW Austin, we have not had any issues with TW, once they got it all installed.
Had both phones go out and the tech walked me through it, as the phone worked perfectly hooked to the modem. The connection where there line hooks to all my phone lines had got corroded, which I fixed by disconnecting and reconnecting, after cleaning good.
