Only 3 more days until Eeyore's Birthday Party
OMG I almost missed it again this year. I just stumbled across this website while adding to the What's weird about Austin thread.
Saturday April 25th.

I know! I love Eeyores. It has been a few years since we last went but I think we will go this year. I hope it doesn't rain.

Highly recommended! Something for everyone, and a great glimpse into one of Austin's unique parties. Even kids games and contests, although you'd need to be a pretty laid-back parent to take the kiddos there. Plenty of music, food, hippies, beer, and more. Be prepared to spend a while finding parking, and maybe walking or riding the bus at least part of the way. But it's worth it.

Great! One of the most Austin of the Austin festivals! Long may it exist - even if I don't get to go, it's nice knowing that it's still there.
I think it's nice that they now have an earlier "kid's Eeyore's" and a later "adults' Eeyore's". Though I never had any problem taking my kids to the original (even took one in the womb!), and looking at them as adults now, they clearly weren't scarred for life by the experience.

I'm so glad we're going to be in town for this! I haven't been in several years. I can't wait to take my kids and husband to it

I'll be there, and I'll wear a bright pink tutu in honor of all those poor souls who are 'out of town'.

I'll be in town. Don't plan on introducing my kid just yet to bong hits, scantily clad women... and men too I suppose.. if Leslie shows up that is.. "Daddy, why is that naked woman with a beard passed out in the grass?" Austin REALLY IS the best! hmmm.. what else? so many wholesome things going on there that we'll miss. this was awesome back in the day. back when my brain was so numb i didnt know the difference. great event for hippies.. not so great for children.. even if the whole reason for it is everyone's favorite prozac poppin donkey.
