Default Springwoods?

Hi there, former Austin resident looking to move back in the next couple months. . . I have some friends in NW Austin, living in Hunters Chase, and I'm drawn to the area because it is still fairly close in (by today's standards, not 10 years ago :-)) and the schools, at least on paper, appear to be pretty good.

I know about Milwood also, which seems to basically be an extension of Hunter's Chase minus the HOA. Just across Anderson Mill Rd, still North of 183, is a neighborhood called Springwoods. Anyone know anything about it? Seems zoned to the same middle and high schools as Hunters Chase and Milwood, just a different elementary (Live Oak, I think it was?).

Also, what is Los Indios like?

I'm looking at some of the larger homes in these neighborhoods, as I have a home-based business that takes up a decent amount of space, plus a couple kids and dogs, so 2500+ sq. ft is welcomed. I work near the arboretum, and am trying to escape the 1 hr. commute I make in Houston.

Would greatly appreciate any feedback you have to offer on Springwoods, Los Indios, or other suggestions that are NW. . . I don't mind if it gets a bit into Cedar Park or Round Rock, but am trying to stay away from I-35 at all costs and don't want to have to pay a toll to get to work. Trying to stay under 250k.

Thanks!
