78750 - Jollyville, Can someone please tell us a bit about the community? (Austin: rental homes)

I'm preparing to move my family to Austin. We're refining our priority list and have wondered what the area is like in the 78750 zip code and Jollyville.
We'll likely rent for a year while we decide where to settle in.
Some questions:
• How long does it take to get from that general area to downtown Austin during NON rush hour traffic?
• Are the schools good there (elementary aged)?
• Does anyone know of any rental homes (4 bedroom or larger) coming available in July?
• Does that area have many amenities, or do you find yourself driving quite a bit to take care of day-to-day errands?
• Are there many kids in these neighborhoods?

I live in the Jollyville area. There are two major neighborhoods that make it up: Anderson Mill and Millwood.
I live in Anderson Mill, which is an established neighborhood from the 70s with a ton of parks and two pools (heated in winter), always always children outside playing, and lots of big trees and greenery. Most homes are ranch-styles with brick facades. Wide variety of ages...I have empty nesters on one side of me and a young couple with two little girls on the other side. I'd say most of the inhabitants are lower-middle class to middle class income-wise.
Millwood is filled with somewhat larger, newer homes (circa 80s/90s), lots of pretty greenery, large trees... There are very likely a park or two within the neighborhood.
There's plenty of shopping and restaurants to be had within a 5 minute drive. There's a mall, SuperTarget, Wal-Mart and four HEBs within a 10 mins drive. There's a very large YMCA and a library nearby too.
Rental homes... I see For Rent signs up everywhere in the surrounding neighborhoods, so I would assume you'd be able to find something in July.
School-wise, the area feeds into Round Rock ISD. I've heard that the schools are pretty good there, but I have no children, so I couldn't tell you for certain.
Drive is about 20 mins. to downtown in non-rush hour traffic.
