I don't think that will be happening though, the land is to expensive to be putting up cheap homes on.

I would think that there would be serious legal ramifications if Pulte billed this community as one thing and did the other.
We lived in a Pulte/Wilshire neighborhood (Sonoma in RR) and the Wilshire homes had much nicer curb appeal, but smallish rooms, and not as much included details inside. Unless that has changed, I don't believe it will be an issue based on my small sample size (1!).

I just bought a house in Highpointe and I must say that I am worried as well about my water bill and the house isnt even built! My wife and I considered Steiner Ranch, Lakeway, Briarcliff, Belterra and Beecaves before choosing Highpointe. We both work in Beecaves and HP and Belterra are actually closer than Steiner Ranch!

Which floorplan did you purchase? We are probably going to be neighbors.

Rumor is, Wilshire has purhased some land.
I was talking with someone at Wilsher the other day and they have indeed purchased (or in the process of) some lots, but not all the available lots. They have also purchase the 2 biggest model homes and the plans to those homes. Those models will be built by Wilsher, from what I was told, plus other plans Wilsher will bring in. I guess they bought the modles so they can have a modle home presence there.

The guy I talked to didn't know who the other lots would be purchased by, but I had heard some months ago that some of the bigger/better lots would go to custom builders. If so, that would add a nice mix of quality and diversity to the subdivision.

Steve

Yes, the Wilshire purchase in a done deal. They are actually having a Party in our amenity center on 4/26 to discuss all the details.

Pulte had 3 series(Estate, Classic, Premier) originally in Highpointe, they are now down to 2 series(Classic, Premier) with 3 home offerings total. In fact they have remolded the models and took out some of the original features and have scaled back

I look forward to having Wilshire in our community. I like the diversity it will bring

I did find that really irritating. The choices of upgrades were virtually nonexistant. Apparently Pulte is doing that across the board to 'streamline' their home building process. They took the favorite upgrades and rolled them all over into the price of the home. IE Corian is now standard, as are stainless steel appliances. The one thing that I CANNOT believe is how they took the can lights out of the Hanover and put in a big fluorescent thing instead. THAT decision is one I REALLY don't get.
When they 'reworked' the models they also ripped out the old tile and put in the new standard 18 inch ones. Very nice look.

Smile We are also moving to HighPointe

We are closing on a home in 2 weeks. Moving from the Seattle area. Just curious to know if there are alot of children in HP? I would assume so, but didn't see many kids out playing when we were there at the beginning of May.
