Default Gas prices are going up...

Gas prices traditionally go up during the summer months. They are already back up over $2.00 per gallon. With more people driving for summer vacations since they can't afford to fly, it may get worse. This website will show you what people are paying for gas around town.

Map Gas Prices - GasBuddy.com

Currently it looks like the gas prices are spread between $2.09 and $2.29 around central Austin, within a few blocks of each other.

$0.20 savings per gallon on a 20 gallon SUV = $4.00 per week if you fill up once a week.

Yes, I just filled up. $2.15 a gallon, last fill-up was at 1.99

Sigh.

If you would rather see a list view than a map try this link. For some reason, Costco's gas prices don't show up consistently and they are usually the lowest on average.

I haven't noticed ANY savings from buying gas at Costco lately. They are the same as HEB and not nearly as convenient if you do not live close by.

Too bad the gas station on 620 and 35 got bought, Texaco now has regular Texaco (high) prices.

Who cares? Would you rather have $4.00 gas again? Not a big deal to me.

I care. The only way I wouldn't care I suppose is if I had an endless supply of money. How about the people that are older living on a fixed income? I bet they care too.

But it was worse last year, so no one should complain. I think people living on a fixed income would rather pay $2.20 than $4.00.

No we'd rather pay 1.50 because that's what it should be....it's going up cause the economy is doing better they say???? interesting as i wake up in the morning wondering if my job is safe another day.

You'd think having lower gas prices would make people travel more and go out and spend money that they have extra lying around...instead gas goes up no one wants to drive unless they have to and no extra money going in to the economy...I think a 5 year old could figure that out.

I paid $2.28 gal yesterday in so.ca. Gas can be $1.50 gal & the greedy oil companies & OPEC will still be making billions. Obama wants gas to be high so people get rid of their gas guzzlers & buy a car with good fuel economy. Gas prices will continue to rise & all we can do is drive less or dont drive at all. I expect the thieving oil companies to test obama & see how far they can go.

Dang --- and I just helped one of the dealerships by purchasing a SUV!

I want my 4-banger back!! LOL!! (kidding, they can keep it). I am not B**ching.
I would pay 3.00 over 4.00 any day.

2.15 is still a good deal as other said compared to last year when Bushy was in office.

No job is safe, but you still gotta drive to the interview; Pump-away!
