We are relocating to Austin from DFW and relocating is unfortunately what we do every few years SOOOO we need advice on areas in North Austin that have great resale and then there's the long list of what else we need: LARGE lot - meaning 1/2 acre or more - ideally 3/4 to 2 acres max. and the lot has to be buildable as we'll most likely be adding a garage/workshop. Price range $500K-$700K. We want a pool too. With great resale there's the need for great schools and we want ease to shopping/food.

No idea which cities are better or Austin proper but any insight would be great. Both jobs are off 183 before Mopac. We don't want super long commutes either so ideally 20 miles or less.

Cedar Park? There might be some large lots to be had up in that direction. It's a straight shot down 183 to your office, but you might have to deal with tolls.

Georgetown might have what you're looking for, and, yes, Cedar Park might, as well. If you'll give a better description of what kind of house you want, as well as the lot, it'll be easier to point you in the best direction.
