Give it a year till their lease is up. Another poorly planned establishment.

Did you eat there? Did you stay and have a drink? Did you visit it on the weekend? You should really try something before you bash it. I'm sure it will do well in the SW area.

I went in to get a menu hoping to come back at Happy Hour and check it out. Got there at 12:30 pm, not one soul eating or drinking in there. Asked for a menu, they don't have one. Asked what their happy hour specials were, girls were clueless but knew they had 1.00 off drafts and said they think they have a late happy hour too, but they didn't know what that was. How many red flags must there be? These people were not ready to open a restaurant, and it shows. Let us know how "GREAT" it is, obviously you work there or have some affiliation with it.

Again, you haven't given it a chance. What's your favorite bar in Austin?

I plan to. I'm in favor of supporting Austin businesses. It's not a chain so it will "keep austin weird". If you took the time to read my posts, you would see that I was saying to give the place a chance.
You need not get me started THL. If you have nothing constructive to offer on this thread, don't post.
To the other poster, I am not affiliated with it. I live in SW Austin, we plan on going by. Every business has issues when it first opens. Why can't someone just support local business? A new dentist opened up here too and I'm giving that a shot as well. And try out Baby Bugaloo in SW Austin too, I'm not affiliated with any of these businesses, just support what is in my 'hood! Geeshhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I simply thought, since you were so adamant about someone who'd actually been by there attempting to give it a chance doing so again, that perhaps you'd been by, had a different experience, and could give us a review.
It does sound, from the one person who's actually been there, like they need a bit more time to get it together.

I'm in Sendera and am glad there's finally another bar alternative down south for when Doc's gets slammed. I've been in to BackSpin 3 or 4 times and it's been a good experience overall. Yeah, the waitresses are just getting their bearings, it's a little small, and the food list is still getting finalized, so the menus are just fresh from the laser printer. We've had a few different things on the menu that were great (burgers, pesto chicken sandwich, gyro). The inside is upscale and they've got TVs every which way. The beer prices would use some help, $4 is a little much for a Zigenbach. Overall a good addition to the neighborhood.

Met there on Saturday night -- enjoyed it. Nice spot. Comfortable outdoor deck with lcd's -- quite a few people watching the tail end of the Cowboys game, but enough seats for a pretty small space. Friendly wait staff... seems they're working out the kinks (to be expected from a non-chain imho). They had beer. It was cold.
Will be back to catch a game or three.
