The other posters are 'yanking your chain' , they love Austin. Everybody has a right to love their favorite city. I applaud them for their amazing opinions.

Austin is my favorite city to pick on and poke fun at because it just doesn't deliver 75% of the needs that I need met. For a city of 1.5 million it is severely lacking and handicapped.

If you like a super slow/procrastinating culture, very laid back and super weird country folks, eerie hillbillies parading about as intellectuals, hills that people seem to worship, alcoholism, drug problems, in your face politics, segregation of minorities, Anglo conformity, and business trickery then you will love Austin!! If not then stay far far away. Avoid it like a massive pothole.

The best part of the city is near the airport.. come check it out. You don't even have to travel far from your hotel.

The best part is the airport. When you are flying out of there to another much better city.
