Default Update: Austin school district extends freeze to all teachers

http://www.statesman.com/blogs/conte..._district.html

I hear Wal Mart's hiring if all you out-of-state teachers are still moving here without a job lined up.

It was just a matter of time. New subdivisions slowing to a crawl, new schools being put off, teachers not leaving their jobs so quick. The substitute list has been frozen for a few months now it had filled up so quick.

Yet Austin still is in the top 10 for "best cities for jobs" in this recession. Someone needs to call them up and tell them the recession landed in Texas last year and is settling in.

Snarky post script aside, that is actually good information to job seekers and those considering a move. I wonder if there is a job freeze on administrators, too??
