Bless our nation
Bless our republic and all who live under her flag. Do not forget how we came to be and all who made sacrifices so we can have the way of life we enjoy today. Happy birthday USA.

Agreed.
Unfortunately, though: counting down to the point that this thread becomes a divisive political argument between people totally missing its point.
Please. Not today.

Well Put. This is a day where we should all look at our similarities as Americans rather than our differences.

Yes, the amazing thing is that the country managed to hold together -- through the war for independence and the squabbles over the Constitution, and despite the efforts of demogogic politicians to wreck the Union in the mid-19th century; and despite the voices still today of traitorous secessionists. True patriots rescued the Union from destruction again and again. May it continue to be so.
