Default Poll: Worst drivers in Austin

This is a follow up on the thread: Nominations for Worst Drivers in Austin

The purpose of the poll was to identify the worst drivers in Austin, so I left out a few overly broad choices they would not accomplish the original purpose.

You can vote for as many options as you want.

Hmmm, you left off Austin driver's in general. I would think that would be the major concensus!

I dont really agree. I think drivers everywhere are about the same. The only big issue I have with austin drivers is that they drive slow. Often below the speed limit in the left lane.

In NYC you have to be extremely aggressive because people constantly cut you off. In LA the typical speed is about 15 mph above the speed limit. Im one of the faster drivers in austin but am just average in LA.

Any driver not following the rules of the road. To me, it is quite obviously independent of vehicle. Most of the drivers not following the rules of the road are angry, have an over-developed sense of entitlement, and have no empathy for anyone else and would never, EVER - even for a second - consider themselves anything but an excellent driver.....

Reminds me of a joke I heard once.

Anyone who drives slower then me is an idiot,
and anyone who drives faster then me is insane!

My choice wasn't there. My vote is for the people who pull out of a shopping center, strip mall, gas station, etc., right in front of you when you have the legal and obvious right of way. I have had this happen countless times, but one of the best was the other day while I was on the frontage road going to Seton just north of Braker.

She was starting to pull out, then stopped, we made eye contact, albeit from about 75 feet, then she just pulled out in front of me! WTF? Was the eye contact meant to convey you should let me cut you off? Don't know, but I was able to brake just in time to effectively get on her real good, but NOT on purpose. Well, that is when her DH in the car turns around to mad dog me and proceed to flip me the bird while she pulls into the next parking lot about 20 feet further down the frontage. What a loser! He should teach the woman to drive before he breeds her so she doesn't get their kids killed. Oh well, that's my vote.

Oh my! You found one of my other pet peeves. That's another type of driver I absolutely can't stand!
