Hi. My wife worked in Taylor for three years as a family practice physician. It is an old town that once was wealthy due to cotton. When the money dryed up it sort of withered, but recently new development has rejuvenated the town. It is not far from Taylor to the Dell computer campus in Round Rock, and lots of people are living in the smaller communities and commuting in the back way to Dell. Thrall is further east and has not had as much growth. Still small and quiet.

I can't comment on the schools as our children were too young to attend when we lived there. I would say from what I heard that they are average.

Climate is "hot". Mild winters and humid hot summers.

Water levels? Do you mean lakes, or depth for drilling water wells??? Lots of lakes in the area. Water table is not deep. Rainfall is about 35" or so per year.

Good luck.

Rick
