My DH and I hope to make a move to Austin within a couple of months. We are retired here in Colorado but find the cold winter is getting to us. Apartment hunting now in the NW side of Austin (Jollyville, Cedar Park, Leander, RR). Any suggestions would certainly be helpful. I have lived in Houston (10 years) and traveled all of Texas. I love it.

Different strokes I guess. The heat here is killing us so we plan to move to Colorado to be near family when we retire in a few years.

I watched my grandmothers and mother suffer in their old age from arthritis and always being cold from poor circulation. The cold is much harder on you in old age then our summer heat.
