My BF and I are wanting to buy in Austin in a gay friendly neighborhood that's also up and coming so we can have a home in a great area that keeps appreciating and not worry about being together in our home and yard.
We love Lakeway because of the views and hills and will settle there if we can't find something in the south part of Austin in a good neighborhood.
I know all of Austin is gay friendly but know some areas are better then others. We also prefer homes that have pools in them to avoid additional expenses and looking for $400k and less. Thanks

Lakeway is an interesting choice. Although it has some fine qualities it doesn't strike me as the most tolerant area of Austin. They get bent out of shape if your garage door is open too often.

I like that about Lakeway, don't want to see everyones junk in their garage. I like a beautiful home and area to go with the scenery, that's why Lakeway....any suggestions of around town in Austin?
