Anyone looking to kill a beautiful weekend, the weiner dog races are classic. Great for families. BBQ, Chili cook-off, music, and, of course, the races. They used to have lawn mower races and a petting zoo, but I have not checked the website to see if they still have those.

Had their 10th annual logo/image here, then noticed the 'do not copy' stamped across it .

I can't wait to get down there and enjoy all the fun weekend activities. Where do you guys find out what's going on for the weekend?

The local NPR station has a Calendar section, check out www.kut.org, also, the Statesman has an Austin360 page with local events.

Wow. This kind of thing makes me even more excited to get down there. I had 4 of those dogs growing up(3 at once)...and while they're a bit yappy, they have a lot of personality and vigor

Whish I could go.

I watched a program about this on KERA Channel 13 in Dallas - it looked like a great time.

It was a bit sad for me to watch because I just lost my little Dachsund mix after 17 wonderful years.

Love to see that bounce in their steps!
