Default What is your take on the Austin Economy

What is your take on the overall Austin area Economy over the past 90 days?

Is it getting better, about the same, or getting worse than it was 3 months ago

Since we are talking about the past 90 days, its clear to me that we are still on the downturn. I think the negative effects felt elsewhere in the country took longer to get here, so while the rest of the country is seeing some recovery, Austin will continue to be on the downslope for a while. Oddly enough our downslope is still better then many other areas recovery. And predictions are that Austin will rebound quicker then many areas.

Evidence of the ongoing downturn:

I think this makes more sense than Austin-specific info/prognostications........so true...20 years of repub/democratic outsourcing/offshoring and company takeovers has left our country a shell of its former self...and last time I checked Austin was in US Territory....
though reasons for Texas to enact the succession clause in its constitution look better every day!

Too bad California can't enact the same thing before its last remaining company migrates to either Texas or Nevada.....
