Locations in "Office Space" or other movies
Does anyone know of any interesting locations used in the movie "Office Space?" (Or any other movies filmed in Austin)
I can only recognize one. A very brief scene in the town lake when they are in a boat. I assume most of the movie is probably set somewhere in the suburbs/outskirts, because I've never seen any recognizable spots.
D.O.A. was an interesting movie. Very good film. It starred Dennis Quaid and was set around the UT Campus.
Of course, "Slacker" was set in various locations around the downtown and campus areas.
I'd be interested in hearing about other films that are set in the older parts of Austin as well. Thanks for any info.

The restaurant in the movie where Jennifer Anniston's character gets busted for not wearing enough flair is the Alligator Grill on South Lamar. I am just guessing but the driving scenes seemed to be filmed on either 360 or 2222.

The recently released kid movie Shorts: Secrets of the Wishing Rock was filmed in the Ridge at Lantana subdivision in SW Austin. I didn't realize it until I saw the movie and recognized the neighborhood.

Dazed and Confused also had a night scene at a park somewhere, where a lot of the teenagers gathered. I think there was a fight.

There's a scene in The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl where the kids are all at the playground in Zilker Park and playing on the firetruck.
I think some of the office building scenes in Office Space were filmed in the 183/Cameron Rd/ Cross Park/290 area.

I know Willie Nelson's movie, "Honeysuckle Rose" filmed in some parts of Austin also.

I saw them filming at Barton Spring on Sunday, probably some background footage for the Rodriguez movie Machete they're filming around Austin now. Too many people with nice equipment filming scenery to be low budget.

i think that the scene in idiocracy where he goes to get his ID barcode tattoed on his arm was shot in the austin convention center.
