Driftwood.....is the toll road complete all the way south to I 35 (@ Buda)?

Or does it shut down & then you have to take a pokey FM road the last few miles? Would a little bit of traffic cause delays (assuming it isn't complete all the way)?

I have a friend making a 4pm ish run (from RR) to SA & was recommending the toll road over I 35.

Thanks.

The toll roads have been helpful to me and my family driving between the airport and Georgetown or from 620 to Georgetown. They are a bit expensive, but easier, especially for folks from out of town - they are pretty uncomplicated.

I wound up on 183A once by accident trying to get into Cedar Park (forgot to turn left at the split onto Bell Blvd). After seeing the service charge (think it was a dollar), I ponied up $20 for a TxTag. It's my just in case tag now.

Yep its done, complete with ramps on and off 135 in Buda, which is truly odd in Austin (FINISHING access ramps that is!) It completed around May I beleive, and yep, no need for change, they WILL send a bill in the mail, it scans your plate.

That's pretty cool.

I've always wondered why there isn't an overpass from southbound MoPac to northbound 183.

Hey Doc, you know that I'm kidding....don't you? I better stop trying to be funny when I'm the only one laughing at my own jokes. I just thought about it today and started thinking you might think I'm really serious. Egads!

Thanks. Nice to avoid I 35 during drive time.....& that new interchange at Buda is humongous.

Are the toll roads a result of the growth in and around Round Rock?
