Are there any type of state fairs in the Austin area? The kind of fairs with the 4H animals and the rides and games with tacky prizes and the really bad for you food like deep fried twinkies and funnel cakes. Man, I love that stuff. Anything like that here?

The Travis County Fair, with a rodeo - in March.

No State fair, that's in Dallas. There are plenty of County Fairs though.

Watch for the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo in the spring, March 12-27, 2010.
