Bad time to plant a tree

We got about 15 minutes or so in the arboretum area.

I live in a vortex!

No rain here again!!!

I swear it gets right to us and then quits, or goes right around.

2222 & Mopac was like a hurricane at around 6pm! Crazy downpours!! Went away completely as I started driving south. I've heard some thunder just southeast of downtown, but haven't seen any rain.

At 12:15 AM the NWS radar is looking very sexy - I hope the storms over the Balcones Fault make it here tonight.

My neighbor and I watched the lightening and heard the thunder in South Austin. Maybe the North Austin rain runoff will flow on my yard.

My Stage 2 sprinklers will be operating at 4:00 AM. I hope the El Nino gods are not teasing us. All of need the water and while it’s Labor Day, I truly hope it rains every day. We sure need it, and deserve it after the past 2 summers.

We had quite a storm near 2222 and Mopac, and at my office near 35th Street east of Mopac. Power was out for awhile near Burnet Road. Near The Tavern, Shoal Creek was out of its banks, with the water running very swiftly. The water almost reached the road.

Got two good downpours at Dripping Springs High School, the second one at half time. But at the house, 10 minutes east, we got nothing.

We're on the north end of Shoal Creek, and our back patio was a lake earlier this evening - rained for a good hour, it seemed like.

We got the same storm that blew over 2222 and Mopac - we are just over the river fom there. It rained for almost 30 minutes and we lost power for 2 hours. As soon as it gets light I'm going to check the rain gauge.

We finally got the rain after 11 pm in Hutto. It was a good soaking. Everything looks a bit greener this morning!
