I'm not really sure how this "I'm a bigger Austinite" p*ssing match has anything to do with the location of celebrity housing, but it sure is boring. Don't we get enough of that in EVERY OTHER THREAD here?

Jeez. Drink some chamomile and be happy. It's starting to cool off

Sorry, guys... I didn't mean to say (or mean) that "All Austinites care about celebrities but pretend they don't."

I just meant the ones I met were like that. Although, maybe other ones I've met truly DON'T care about celebrities and I just don't know it because we didn't TALK about celebrities, heh.

I would think that most people who saw someone that they liked a lot in a movie, etc, in real life, would get a bit of a thrill over it. But what do I know? I'm still waiting for my Ewan McGregor sighting, sigh.

Sandra Bullock is my roommate. She's a bit of a slob, but her checks do not bounce so it works out ok.

Then with all due respect, you are not contributing to this thread so why even post?

Some of you people need to take a deep breath and calm down. I didn't ask so that I could go set up a tent outside their house, it's just interesting to know where famous people would choose to live in Austin.

I never could figure out why Lance Armstrong chose the house he did. While it is a beautiful house (featured in Architectural Digest) it has no view. There are so many properties in Austin with amazing views of Lake Austin and downtown, it would seem like if you could have any property you wanted you would choose one of those.

It has absolutely amazed me at how many UNHELPFUL and IRRELEVANT replies I have gotten to this post. Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I agree with you. Who cares where they live really, but it is public knowledge for ALL celebrities. There are maps of famous people's homes. You can take tours of areas where famous people live, ie: Nashville, L.A., NYC, ... Why should Austin be exempt? Some posters are acting like the stars are their own children...who cares!?!?!
