Alright Mr. California, repeat after me...it's 360, 290, 2222. Not the 360, etc.

Pretty funny, I take heat from the spouse when I say numbers too. I will say one hundred and one, one hundred and two, etc. She says it is 101, 102, as in one hundred one, one hundred two.

You guys are really funny.
I lived in LA. years ago and remember the 101, the Harbor Frwy, etc and most of my life has been near Chicago-we say 80/94 or the toll road, or 49, the bypass, the Kennedy, the Dan Ryan, etc. I think here, if it's a number, there's no "the", but if you use the name, you add the "the".
I've read you all (wait-y'all?)enough to know never to say "the"... with number roads!

I'm surprised by how beautiful and non-city like it was driving on 360....
Are there any good neighborhood suggestions around there?
I didn't realize I didn't need to go far out to get the hills and natural beauty.
Austin is beautiful all over...

Glad to hear you liked Austin so much! Your reactions seem similar to ours when we moved here. We really loved the scenic nature of the 360/2222 area a lot. As far as your MLS areas...I think 8W is going to be the most expensive that you're looking at, and where you'll get the least for your $. Overall you've selected great areas (of course, I am biased, I live in RN).

You probably saw that there is an abundance of rental situations here in town at a lot of very nice complexes. Since you like the general area, definitely check out all of the complexes on 620 between 2222 and 183. there are about 15 of them, all very nice developments. Of course, with having a young child you may want to land in an apartment where you think you'll be most likely to buy so as not to change school districts.
Look forward to hearing all about your move down here to Austin and welcome!

Thank you. I'm pretty excited; I didn't want to come home this last visit.

We have 4 kids and an outside labrador-so I'm looking at a house to rent in the same areas.
I'm thinking up to $1800 per mo.
Any good development/subdivision suggestions? (in those areas?)
