Default Bastrop to San Marcos

hello everyone, could anyone tell me about how long it would take to commute from bastrop to San Marcos? What are some nice towns between where one could find a reasonable house?

Thanks for your help

I'm thinking the only town of note between SM & Bastrop would be Lockhart.

Very cute town....a county seat, a neat little state park (with a neat little golf course) & great BBQ.

From what i've heard the schools are average at best & there's no hospital of note. (if either of these things are of importance).

Tell us what your definition of "reasonable" is & what other items are important to you. (& why you would need to commute to both towns?).

Good luck.

From Bastop to San Marcos on Hwy 21 is about 35 minutes depending on traffic, it can be 45 if heavy.
