Default I hate when people call Austin ATX

Its just a dumb attempt to sound ghetto. Its Austin not ATX. Anyone that calls Austin ATX should go move to Atlanta.

I hadn't heard this one. How's it pronounced? Seems silly to me unless you're referring to something like an airport and that's it's official designation.

I love it. I say it in a tongue-in-cheek kind of way but still.

Ugh. It IS so hipster ironic (which I hate) but I still love it.

Its pronounced A-T-X. Its a ripoff of Atlanta, which they call "ATL." I mean I guess people use NYC and LA, but those are longer names.

Here are examples:
"I love ATX"
"Hot 93.3 brings you the hottest music in the ATX."

Oh. Yeah, I've heard a couple of ads where they say, for example, "the 183" and it makes me want to call the advertiser and say, "We do NOT say that here and your ad just assured that I will NEVER spend a penny with you."

This sounds like the same sort of thing, and I don't think it flies here - too pretentious.

If 93.3 actually does that, someone needs to clue them in that they're in Austin, Texas, and should act like it.

The airport code for ABIA is AUS.
