Children's Courtyard SW Austin (day care, home, schools)

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Children's Courtyard in SW Austin on LaCrosse in Circle C? Any positive/negative feedback?

I have a few friends who have children there, and all said it was absolutely fantastic. I have no personal experience though.

I've personally spoken with the gentleman who started the Children's Courtyard chain and he's a very respectable guy. I know one person who has their child at the Circle C location. From what I heard, even with existing schools within a stone's throw of this one, it had almost full enrollment within a few weeks of opening. They have a great program.

The CC system is a great system. We had issues with the director that was on Wm Cannon and Escarpment and I had heard that she might move down to the new one. If she hasn't, then I would highly recommend the new CC based on its reputation and programs. If she has, I would worry a bit about the administration.

My little one has been there since the opening. It's a nice facility, but the teachers seem unhappy and several already left. There's also a bit of a lenient attitude towards violance. We are looking to switch to a different day care.

Useless fact: That's the daycare where the Jolie Pitt herd went when they were in town for a few months a couple of years back.

Violence? Do you mean biting and hitting? I hardly think that would go on in Pre-K. Can you be more specific? Thanks.

Seriously? I worked in a day care a couple of decade ago, and pre-K is exactly where that kind of behavior occurs.

My concern with Children's Courtyard was the one on Wm Cannon at least had video games. If my son is given the option he would spend the entire time there on video games. We don't allow them at home and having them at a childcare facility would undermine our efforts. My experience is that video games and TVs are used by facilities that do not hire enough staff to actively engage students so they use electronic media as a cheap form of babysitting.

Wow, I don't know what kind of Pre-K that is. Must be a bunch of bad little children. Or a bunch of bad little teachers!
