Austin ranked 38th in air quality in 2007, below all these major metro areas....

Aside from air quality, Austin did rank very well in total 'toxicity' in that article though. So.... just hold your breath and you'll be fine.

Its quite jarring to travel to countries where public health and pollution is actually taken seriously by Governments.
Texas is the worst run state imaginable. Like something out of Victorian, England. Well its perfectly fine to poison the peasants as long as it makes someone money!
This states paid off, corrupt, corporate lackey Judges are so awful that if you bring environmental suits to trial against polluters often you will be found guilty of bringing a wrongful lawsuit and the polluter will win a judgement from you. See Save our Springs for proof of this.
