Oh, no, is it panic buy time again?

Lets see, what to buy,

water whenever there's a disaster pending, buy water

bread--good for many things, can also be used an insulation, especially white bread

batteries---by now the batteries bought for Christmas are probably dead

cat food---unless you want the cats to eat you when you die from cold, have plenty of cat food (unless you have a dog, then I recommend dog food)

canned goods (why do they call them goods? whatever..........)

a can opener, practice using, preferably on old dog food cans

flashlight, I will borrow my son's, he's an Eagle Scout, has one of those super fancy type, does everything but work~

take a shower now in case your pipe burst later

Quit watching CNN and Weather channel so you won't get freaked out!

Stay Warm!

Woot. you read my mind there. Just got Season 3 of Big Love. Going to power thru all the episodes with some big cuddling tonight.

Especially since for some reason, in every 2 story house I have ever lived in, my heater keep the upstairs warm and toasty, the downstairs......not so much.

No denying that, but the difference is HUGE. I think it's because the compressor is upstairs. Warm air from the heater goes there first, and then never drifts down

My house does the same and has the same setup. I bought a thermometer to measure it and it's an 8 degree difference. It could probably be solved by shutting off some registers upstairs and forcing most of the air downstairs first, but I think I'm probably saving some money by keeping the rooms I use the longest warmest (office, bedroom) and use blankets in the living room.
