Default Ok, who has just moved in from Seattle

... and brought the weather with you?! We need you to go back

I remember hearing a statistic a few years back, all the TV weather people would mention it -- despite having 300+ days of sunshine in Austin, it rains like 75% of all Memorial Days.

It's funny you should mention the Seattle comparison because Seattle NEVER has weather like this. When it rains in Seattle it's usually below 60 degrees. We haven't dipped below 65 during all this rain, and the heat of the day usually triggers more rain as opposed to the type of rain they get in the NW.

I much prefer the rain here, it's more dramatic and the sky is so beautiful. But I prefer the summer in Seattle -- dreamy!

Txstar is on a distinguished road
Enjoy it while it last because the dog days of summer are just around the corner. By August, we won't even remember what rain is.

Actually, some of the heaviest rains often occur in August. A few years ago we had a very hot dry spring and early summer, then it rained for half of August and we had Spring in September. It's always different every year.

The only thing you can count on is that it will be HOT. It might only be 90 or it might be 108, but in August it's HOT. Overnight temps rarely dip below 70. I'm kinda scared, and I join you in enjoying this weather while it lasts. It's great timing, though. We'll have at least a month of good swimming in Barton Creek before it goes stagnant. And who knows... it could keep raining, June is the 2nd or 3rd wettest month (on average.)
