Doubt you will see a Costco go up in Round Rock or Georgetown because the demographics don't match up. In most cases, Costco builds stores in higher economic parts of metro areas and cities. The north Costco in Austin is pretty much a bullseye, and the south Costco probably draws from the higher end west and southwestern parts of Austin.

I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for a Costco in RR or Georgetown, sorry but Sam's Club doesn't even compare.

I take it, then, that you purchase no groceries or clothing or hardware or anything else that is brought to the stores over the roadways?

Sorry, we ALL use the roads, so that dog won't hunt.

How on earth did all of those stores stay in business? Did they draw from the area around the town of 29,000?

That many grocery stores would have a hard time surviving in a town the size of Georgetown, which is almost twice the size of the town you're describing.

The Statesman had written a story several months ago about Sprouts taking over the Albertson's at Anderson Mill and 183. However, nothing has popped up on Sprout's website about it. I hope it's not just a rumor as I really like their specials.

Never mind the whole supermarket aspect of it, you're saying that in a town of under 30,000 people, that there were 2 Wal-Marts and 1 Target? Wow. Just out of curiosity, what town was that?
