It's supply and demand. The demand is very high for any housing downtown. If the condos were that cheap downtown then most of us would probably buy them up as investments as they could easily be rented out. I did a search up to $500K and got back over a hundred listings.

I see 3 available at 1212 Guadalupe St. between 105k-140k. Same story at 1800 Lavaca St.

Nothing between 6th-1st st for that price though.
