We are thinking about moving to Elm Grove in Buda. Anyone have any opinions of Buda? Elm Grove Neighborhood? Elm Grove Elementary school? Hays ISD? Do you know of a Mothers Day Out in Buda? Love the Green Builder out there and the fact that the kids can walk to school. Thanks for any helpful information you can give me!

Elm Grove is a top rated school for now. THere's a new elementary being built...I think it opens next year. Due to its location it'll most likely draw many of the wealthier neighborhoods like Elliot Ranch, Ruby Ranch, etc. away from Elm Grove. I dunno how it'll affect Elm Grove but it is something to look at.

Hays ISD gets worse the higher you go. Dahlstrom MS is good and HHS is okay. There is talk that another high school will be in the works within the next 10 years and the location talked about would once again draw from the higher end neighborhoods which would in theory hurt HHS.

You should see Buda/Hays ISD schools improve over time as more people move there for the space, innovating building and natural beauty of the land. This is exactly what happened with Lake Travis ISD.
