I've been to Taylor Cafe. When we went there, I know for a fact that blacks and whites sat on the same side. And the one image of the inside that I could find online that wasn't a close-up showed the same thing.

But, of course, there's a rumor otherwise. There's ALWAYS rumors. How would we entertain ourselves without them?

I went to the Taylor Cafe after one of those rumors sprang up here last time. I looked all up and down the walls and saw no signs still up that said anything like that and while I was there, several black men came in, sat at the bar right by some salty old regulars and they were just having a good ole' time Even the owner came out and sat with them and joined in the conversation. Just another lame rumor trying to make everyplace outside of Travis County look backwards.
