Default VolleyBall in Austin

Hi all,

Spring is upon us and as I get older I realize I need to become MORE physically active to stay in shape and have fun. I have been looking a few recreational activities and really want to take up Volleyball. Getting into a league seems like fun but most of my friends are too busy or too lazy :-(

I found out Carlos and Charlies has free pick up games every thursday which seems like something I want to get into providing I can't get on with a league. So I was hoping if anyone has additional info on were to go for recreational pick up games around Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, etc. Or if you know of any beginner leagues that are looking to get setup.

Regards,

Eli

The Austin Parks and Recreation Dept runs leagues at almost every rec center in Austin, and there are leagues in RR, Plugerville, and elsewhere. I will have to go look up some contact info, but there are LOTS of options, and most of them cater to the beginner/mid-levle player, although 'A' level leagues are here and there, as well.

For good B/BB level play, check out the South Austin Rec center on Sundays, 1-5pm, they run two courts with open play. Great people with a wide variety of people playing.

I just saw this group on Craigslist where they posted for needing officials....maybe that will help!
