Hi,

We're looking for a football summer camp for our 9 year old, anyone have any suggestions.

Specifically we're looking for a camp that focuses on the basics - kids who have moved to TX and may be a few years behind the natives on the game

Thanks!

I'd like to see the responses to this as well. My son (9) is a beginner also. His friend's mom gave me a registration form for the league that her son plays in - and that league begins taking kids at age 3! Wow!

I would highly recommend i9 for football, especially the basics and the beginners. They have a very POSITIVE coaching philosophy: everyone learns, everyone plays, everyone is out there to have fun.

A great, all-around program, and a nice contrast to some of the uber-competitive football programs out there.

You might also check with the high schools in your neck of the woods; most offer a 4-day (or one week) camp early in the summer that's pretty basic. I know here in Pflugerville that all three high schools offer such a camp; no pads, no hitting, but basic positions/plays, etc.
