Default Austin here I come!
Moving back to Texas! I am from San Antonio but living in Philly and so I do not know Austin very well... I need a home that is convenient to Bowie HS. It has to be a great school district/high school. Is it to far of a drive to live north of the river?

I don't know where Bowie HS is, but I use schoolmatters.com to research districts. Very helpful.

Bowie is just off Slaughter between Brodie and MoPac. If you lived just north of the river and neqar mopac, that might not be bad...assuming you are commuting to work at Bowie, you will be heading pretty much opposite of traffic. However, there are a great range of options much closer, it you are so inclinded.
