Question Rattan Creek Apartments

My roommate and I are applying for a 2 bed 2 bath in Rattan Creek apartments and we are looking for some insight as to what to expect from the place. Since we are moving from out of state we have not had the opportunity to check them out for ourselves.

What kind of people live there families, college kids, etc?
What type of place is it noisy, high crime?
What is the neighborhood like, are there things to do around the apartments, bars, shopping, food, trails, etc?

Has anyone out there had experience with this place?

I have check out other apartment rating sites and figured I'd try here since people come here simply to converse and get information as opposed to venting about a bad experience.

Thanks for all your help.

Depending on what you are looking for in an apartment, I believe that you have made a pretty good choice. Rattan Creek is located near the intersection of Parmer and McNeil which is pretty close to the Austin city limits in the NW side of town. This is a very fast growing area. I don't live there personally but have been there numerous times. I own a pizzeria about a mile away and have dealt with the management on a personal level. They are courteous and professional. It appers that the demographics to the complex are 25-40 and young professionals. There are quite a few tech companies within a mile or so away. There is plenty of shopping in the area and a very great bar just around the corner on Parmer at Corpus Christi called Little Woodrows. Because Parmer is a very fast growing area the traffic can get severe at times from people trying to avoid the toll roads. I hope this info helps and good luck with your move.......Welcome to Austin!
