Default Home inspector + Structural engineer in Austin?

So I need to line up an inspector, and I'd like to go ahead and get someone that can do a structural engineering evaluation of the foundation as well. Anyone have any recommendations? The only one I've found online is in San Antonio: Lineberger Consulting Engineers. Surely there are some local.

Thanks!

Licensed structural engineers' salaries are much too high for them to be in the home inspection business... just get yourself a well recommended and experienced inspector.

The quicker and easier way is to ask a couple of foundation repair companies for a free evaluation. They'll be glad to come out, take elevations, and give you a bid for whatever repairs they recommend.

I would start with an independent structural Engineer for the foundation as opposed to a foundation repair company. The foundation repair company is in the business of selling their services so their inspections tend to be a little biased. Here's the name of a structural Engineer that I have used over the years - Stewart Polvado www.polvado-engineering.com/

You are going to need a separate person for the home inspection.

Good Luck!
