As the old farmer explained...Just send out the dog. If he comes back wet, it's probably raining. If he doesn't come back at all, it must be really windy!

OR...

30% chance of rain means--if you get out of your car 10 times during the day, you might get wet 3 of those times .

BUT, there is a 100% chance of weather every day!

Just remember: the weather-guessers all get their information from the National Weather Service and are free to misinterpret it as they wish.

AND...this just in...a news report showing the average earth temperature in the year 2500 will be 104 degrees! BUT, it will be a DRY heat!

If ya'll want to look into probability a bit, I just read a book that was fun and interesting. It's called "The Drunkard's Walk" by Leonard Mlodinow. The subtitle is "How Randomness Rules Our Lives." I have to say that the subtitle actually put me off a bit, since I hate to think everything is random, but the book isn't as extreme as that phrase would imply, and it was actually a good read, and I learned a few things.
